Assam PSC Functional Manager Recruitment 2025

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the latest recruitment notification (Advt. No. 19/2025, dated 23rd May 2025) for the post of Functional Manager, Project Manager, and Deputy Director under the Industries and Commerce Department. This recruitment drive aims to fill 11 vacancies for eligible Indian citizens. The online application process will commence from 27th May 2025 and will close on 26th June 2025

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality & Domicile:

• Must be an Indian citizen (as per Articles 5-8 of the Constitution)
• Permanent resident of Assam with valid PRC or Employment Exchange Certificate

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Arts, Science, or Commerce
• Minimum 2nd class honours or distinction in degree
• Upload all relevant certificates and mark sheets

Experience Required: 

• Minimum 8 years in a senior post in Govt. department/undertaking
• At least 5 years must be in a post equivalent to Assistant Director of Industries

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):

• Minimum: 30 years
• Maximum: 45 years
• Age Relaxation
• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years (with additional relaxation for reserved categories)
• PwBD: 10 years across all categories

PwBD Candidates:

• Must have 40% benchmark disability
• Valid disability certificate required
• For Govt Employees:
• Certificate of employment and NOC required for those in regular service

Salary and Pay Scale

• Pay Band: PB-4
• Basic Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/-
• Grade Pay: Rs. 14,500/-
• Other Benefits: As per Assam Govt. rules

Selection Process

• May include written exams and interviews
• Examination centers may include Silchar, Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Tezpur, and Kokrajhar
