DRDO Scientist B Recruitment 2025

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) through its Recruitment & Assessment Centre (RAC), has launched a significant recruitment campaign for Scientist ‘B’ positions. A total of 148 vacancies are open across DRDO, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and other establishments under the Ministry of Defence. Engineering graduates and postgraduates in Science disciplines are encouraged to apply online.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology OR First Class Master’s Degree in Science in a relevant subject.
• Valid GATE score in the related subject (refer to notification for specific codes).
• Final year students can apply if they expect to complete their degree with required marks by July 31, 2025

Age Limit (as on closing date)

• UR/EWS : Max 35 years
• OBC (NCL) : Max 38 years
• SC/ST : Max 40 years
• PWD : Up to 10 years relaxation
• Govt. employees/Ex-servicemen As per government norms

Salary & Benefits

• Pay Level Level 10 (7th CPC)
• Basic Pay Rs. 56,100/-
• Total Monthly Salary : Around Rs. 1,00,000/- (including HRA and allowances)

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting Based on GATE Score

• Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio per discipline/category.

2. Personal Interview

• Interview in Delhi or other notified locations.
• Weightage : GATE – 80%, Interview – 20%
• Minimum Interview Score : UR – 70%, Others – 60%
