Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality:

• Must be an Indian citizen.

2. Educational Qualification:

• Postgraduate degree in Veterinary Science is mandatory.

3. Experience:

• At least 5 years of practical experience in Animal Husbandry after completing the required qualification in any of the following:
•   Government Department
• Government/Local Authority/Corporation-established institutions
• Industrial or commercial undertakings

Note: Experience criteria may be relaxed by up to 40% for backward class candidates if eligible candidates are not available.

4. Registration:

• Must be registered under the State Veterinary Council/Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984/Maharashtra Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1971

5. Age Limit (as on Sept 1, 2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age:
• Open Category: 38 years
• Backward Classes / EWS / Orphan / Sportspersons: 43 years
•  Ex-Servicemen: Service years + 3 years
•  PwD: 45 years

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a Pay Scale S-22: ₹60,000 – ₹1,90,800 along with other allowances as per Maharashtra Government rules.

Selection Process:

2. Screening Test (if needed)

3. Interview

•  If a test is conducted: Final merit = Screening Test + Interview
•   If no test: Merit based on Interview only
•   Minimum qualifying marks in Interview: 41%
